What’s In My Gym Bag
I pretty much run around all day long and sneak in my workouts when I’m not working others out. My gym bag is full to the brim with a combination or all of these items:
Hair Tie with motivation: I always need hair ties to pull my hair back. I love these from Momentum they don’t tear my hair and they have great little motivational quotes on them.
Headphones that can also be wrapped around my wrist as a bracelet: If I’m not doing yoga or Pilates I often get on the gauntlet and do some cardio or lift some weights. I like to have good tunes to listen to. Wraps also come in handy when flying, you can just wrap them on your wrist and then use to watch a movie or listen to music on the flight.
Health magazine: I also love to read up on health, nutrition, etc. I can read a magazine on the gauntlet or in between clients if I’m on a subway.
Bioactive Greens: I’ve never been big on supplements or artificial pills or potions; especially now that I’m pregnant with twins, I am careful what I put in to my body. These greens are organic, non gmo, 100% natural and they give me a little boost if I add to water before a workout.
Nuttzo nut butter packets: I never know when I’m going to get hungry and I always like to carry a few different snack options in my bag. I LOVE nuttzo nut butters and these handy ones on the go are awesome. I squeeze on a banana, apple or Mary’s gone crackers.
I also love KIND bars: Kind are low in sugar and yummy. They are super portable and easy to carry around. Timothy also likes them so it’s great to have on hand for both of us when we have a snack attack.
I always have an Aura Cacia essential oil in my bag: I love to use essential oils as a pick me up, to clean my hands with, or when I’m teaching I often use it for final relaxation on my students. I love the orange and peppermint especially.
Sun Salutation lip balm: My lips often get dry and I love this lip balm by gypsy soul organics…it smells amazing, is super moisturizing and 100% organic.
Manduka hand towel: I like this if it’s super steamy and I need something for extra grip on my yoga mat or as just a nice little towel to use when I’m hot.
UBR water: I ALWAYS hydrate . I love UBR water for it’s high PH content and smooth taste.
Super Goop sunscreen spray: what’s awesome about this is you can spritz it on your face throughout your day. It’s 50 SPF, a great wake me up, and a good way to keep applying sunscreen without messing up make up etc.
Juicy Bamboo face wipes: These natural wipes are wonderful to use when I get really sweaty and need to clean my face during the day. Organic, easy to carry and they smell wonderful. Kaia Naturals also just came out with a charcoal deodorant which works great and is perfect travel size.
Shashi socks: I put these on when I have to walk around the room adjusting people so my feet don’t get so dirty. Also good for barre and pilates classes.
Crispy green fruit snacks: These little freeze dried fruits are tasty, low calorie, and they hold up well in my gym bag. In the past when I toss in real fruit, it sometimes gets squished! I love these are only natural freeze dried fruit, nothing else.
Safe catch tuna: This is the best tasting tuna around and it is the lowest in mercury, which is super important to me now that I’m pregnant. It has an easy pull tab lid so I can tote these cans with me and if I’m in a pinch for a more substantial snack/mini meal it does the trick.
Handful sports bra: always nice to have an extra sports bra in my bag to change if I get extra sweaty. I love handful they are so soft yet still supportive and the designs are super cute. Also very easy to pack small.
