Runner’s Yoga Flow
If you’re planning on going for a jog this weekend; or gearing up to run a half or full marathon any time soon, make sure to add this yoga sequence to your training.
Here’s a post and video blog I did for alignyo.com with a runner’s specific sun salutation. This flow in particular opens up the quads, hamstrings, hip flexors, chest, back and shoulders, which is crucial for a runner’s performance, stamina and strength.
I also love to do this flow as a cool down and stay a bit longer in the crescent lunge, and quad and hamstring stretches. This flow opens up the lungs and helps runner’s tap in to their energizing breath as well.
Let me know if you’re a runner and if you have any big races lined up this Fall!
