Before we dive right into baking up a batch of delicious Vanilla Protein Brownies, let’s have a look at why protein is so important first.

While you might think that you get enough protein from your diet alone, this usually isn’t the case, and you’ll find that you see more benefits from your workouts when consuming protein powder. This is due to the fact that protein is essential for exercise – and so, if you’re being more active and doing things like attending gym sessions, then you’re going to need more protein than somebody who isn’t. By consuming protein powder on top of your normal diet, you’re going to find that you’re able to easily meet your protein requirements and recover from your workouts quicker.

During exercise, you are breaking down your muscles and somewhat damaging them to make them stronger. Helping yourself to one of these tasty Vanilla Protein Brownies after a workout will not only serve as a treat, but also as fuel. It’s also important that you make sure to use a premium whey protein powder with as few ingredients as possible, as that’ll help you make sure that there are no hidden additives and that you’re getting the best protein powder on the market. 

Things You Will Need

To make these one-of-a-kind protein brownies, you’ll need:

  • 3 medium, over-ripe bananas – mashed
  • ½ cup of smooth peanut butter (of nut butter of choice)
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 2 scoops of Vanilla Protein Powder

The Recipe

  1. Before you get started, make sure to preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a small cake pan. 
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, or in a pan on your stove, heat the smooth peanut butter or nut butter of your choice until it’s easily workable. 
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, melted nut butter, cocoa powder, and Vanilla Protein Powder. 
  4. Mix all the ingredients together until they’re a smooth consistency. 
  5. Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for about 20 minutes. 
  6. Remove and allow to cool before serving. 
  7. Enjoy!
