My Skin Care Routine

As I get older, I’m definitely more and more interested about taking good care of my skin. I’ve always been diligent about putting on sunscreen every morning; but other than that, I have to be honest, I’m not much of a skin care junkie. I often just use a make up wipe and called it a day. After having babies (and getting less hours of sleep than I would like on most nights), I realized my skin is not looking as youthful as it used to.

It’s super important to me to find skin care lines that use  natural ingredients. I have sensitive skin, that is usually on the dry side. Recently, I’ve been breaking out (due to stress) and found that using calming oils (which seems counterintuitive) has really helped. I always make sure to cleanse my skin in addition to using a make up remover wipe. I use serums and moisturizers and depending on the time of day and year, I alternate between a few.

Here are some of my favorite products that I’m using now:

Kaia Natural Bamboo Make up Remover Wipes–I am obsessed with these. I love that they are an all natural way to remove my eye makeup. The citrus smell is awesome and I feel like I make less of an impact on the environment.

Arkadiance Silky Cleaning Gel I love the way this cleanser smells and lathers up. It is seriously one of the best I’ve found and it lasts a while. You only need a small squirt from the bottle and you’re good to go. I use it morning and night. Made with green and white tea and other plant based materials.

AnneMarie Borlind— I was recently introduced to  Orange Blossom Energizer and I think it’s awesome. I started using it for my tired, dull skin. I add a few drops of the jojoba and macadamia nut oil right after I cleanse in the morning. Ingredients from the orange and orange blossoms help to protect the skin against environmentally induced premature aging, which is key living in NYC. I definitely have seen results and love how it leaves my skin revitalized and energized.

MileoMileo was founded by Matthew Mileo who was tired of chemicals and harmful ingredients in skin care lines. He actually created his magical elixirs for his cancer-struck godmother so she could reclaim her vitality. I use his Anti-aging Oud  serum to combat signs of age and to protect my skin’s health and vibrancy. The Maroc D’Azur is the one I’m currently using. It is filled with nourishing & plumping Moroccan blue tansy flower as well as white camellia and osmanthus.

More Products that I love:

MyChelle Ultra Hyaluronic Beauty Mist–I love this mist for moisturizing my face throughout the day. You can spritz it on under or over your make up. I tend to run really dry, especially my forehead area. I find this perks my skin up and makes it look more youthful. The mist is instantly refreshing and moisturizing. It’s packed with Cactus Water and Hyaluronic Acid for lasting hydration, as well as Citystem™ Plant Stem Cells and Niacinamide to revive and refine complexion.

Yuni Active Calm Facial MosturizerI love this light yet moisturizing lotion before yoga or a workout; and in the summer time. I find it quickly absorbs into my skin, and immediately hydrates it without weighing it down or making it feel too thick and heavy. It is made with Active Edelweiss plant stem cells which provide nutrient rich antioxidants and fatty acids for your skin. I’ve definitely noticed a firmer appearance and smoother touch. I love that there is absolutely no harmful ingredients and uses 100% natural essential oils. The healing facial moisturizer diminishes the appears of fine lines and wrinkles. The face cream also contains Adaptogenic Turmeric which helps regulate and balance stress.

Arkadiance Cell Renewing Moisturizer–I use this in the winter for a stronger moisturizer. The moisturizer is made with shea butter, coconut and olive oil. It goes on light and absorbs immediately, while hydrating my skin. I really like this when I am in Idaho and a drier climate, as well as in the colder months in Manhattan.

Microcurrent Facial

Microcurrent & Facial–Microcurrent emits a low electrical current which mimics your body’s own electrical currents. The current repairs damaged skin cellularly, stimulates collagen and elastin production, and clears out lymph tissue. The non surgical facelift which it is commonly reffered to contours, relaxes and strengthens muscle tissue, and plumps the face resulting in a more energetic, youthful skin tone and appearance. This technology has been around since the 1800’s as a treatment for tissue and muscles.

Microcurrent is safe, painless, and can assist in greatly reducing fine lines and wrinkles. It can even reduce muscle sag, puffiness and acne blemishes; while increasing circulation, firming the skin and tightening pores. Everyone benefits, no matter what the age! I had my first microcurrent facial with Lisa Shannon and it was AMAZING!!!
Well there you have it, some of my favorite skin care regimens as of late. I would love to hear what you do for you skin and what your go to products are.
