Last Minute Mother’s Day Gifts!
Mother’s Day is right around the corner and I am now celebrating my 5th one! Wow what a journey. I LOVE being a mom. I have even more admiration and appreciation for my own mother now as well. Motherhood is the hardest job and journey I know. I am constantly being challenged daily; and I have grown in so many ways. I love my boys more than I could ever possibly imagine.
What I personally would love for Mother’s Day is a day of pampering. My go to is Glamsquad (use my discount if you want $25 off your first appointment). Experiences are always my favorite type of gifts. After getting glammed up, I would love to spend the afternoon with my boys having a picnic lunch in the park. Later my husband could take care of cooking dinner and cleaning up. A back rub before bed could be nice too!
If you are a mommy or thinking of something to get your mom, here are some other awesome ideas:
Chair Yoga Book: One of the best ways to help you stretch it out while at work or even at home. The book makes a great gift for everyone in your life. While you’re at it, you may want to grab a DVD for your mom too! Use code MOTHERSDAY for 25% off all of my DVDs and downloads
Hum Nutrition Vitamins: Not only is healthy eating and excericse important but you should also be getting the right nutrients. Hum Nutrition offers nutrients for a beautiful life, they focus on vitamins for your skin. They connect you with a free personal nutritionist, who will review your information to create your free personal profile and select products for you. They ship personalized vitamins, minerals and botanicals right to your doorstep.
Vital Protein: I’ve been experimenting with collagen powder for some time now to aid in digestion, help with my hair, skin & nails & add a little protein boost to my morning meal (easily mixes in coffee, oatmeal, smoothies, etc.). Vital Proteins makes a great collagen. Collagen offers essential nutrients for optimal beauty, fitness, and overall wellness. My special trick is to add some collagen to a cup of cocoa before I got to bed. It curbs my sweet tooth and helps me feel more energized in the morning.
Flexi Lexi Fitness: I love my Flexi Lexi Fitness leggings. I love all of the patterns and prints. They are great to wear from playing in the park with the boys to teaching a yoga class. My favorite part about Flexi Lexi Activewear is that the boys and I have matchings leggings. I love being able to match with the boys.
Beautopia Hair Products: The best feeling in the world is to have clean and washed hair. As a mom I don’t always have so much time for myself but when I do I love to pamper myself with Beautopia Hair products. I love the Vibracolor shampoo to keep my hair looking lucious. They’re currently offering 20% off the entire site at BeautopiaHair.com until May 13th with code: “LOVEMOM”.
Patchology: I recently discovered these awesome eye masks! They can be used in AM or PM for depuffing & refreshing. I love to put them on while giving the kids a bath. Self pampering is so important even when multi-tasking. Patchology offered Non-basic essentials that can help you re-invent your routine.
The DB Method: I recently was introduced to The DB Method, it is an at-home squat machine that positions the body in the correct form to achieve that perfect squat. Most people over use their quads when they squat & The DB Method helps you activate your bum. It’s the perfect at-home, efficient workout; and it folds up so you can hide it away (great for us New Yorkers).
Olukai Sandals: If you are looking for a practical Mothers Day gift for mom I would go with a pair of Olukai sandals. They are comfortable, cute and great to hang out with the kids or go walk to a yoga class. Footwear that combines durability for the waterman, ocean lifestyle, and a brand that has strong values and roots with style, comfort, and craftsmanship.
Remember mama this is your incredible day! You deserve a day for yourself and a special gift. I want to wish you all a fabulous mothers day! I hope some of the ideas above are perfect for your mom but the best gift you can give her is your presense. Here’s to strong women, may we know them, may we be them and may we raise them.
