How-To: Downward-Facing Dog
Even if you are a seasoned yoga practitioner, it’s always great to go over the basics; and especially with a pose like Downward-Facing Dog.
I constantly find new ways to “take my dog for a walk” so to speak. Dogs are always moving and stretching. When we perform Downward-Facing Dog pose, we also want to move in it and explore it. Keep exploring your Downward-Facing Dog and find as many ways as you can to open up your spine and limbs through this quintessential posture.
If you are newer to Yoga, this pose is practiced in most all forms of Asana (the physical practice of Yoga). Here is a brief how to video:
