High Protein Dessert to Die For!

As a busy mom, I know firsthand how important it is to be prepared for when the boys or myself get hungry while on the go. I am always on the lookout for a quick snack that tastes good, appeals to the little ones, is good for our bodies, and gives me the boost I need to get through the day.

Naked Nutrition’s Protein Cookies are just that! These delicious protein-packed cookies are an awesome treat for on-the-go snacking. With 10g of grass-fed whey protein, these cookies make the perfect snack while helping to give me some much-needed energy without having to have a large meal before I make dinner for myself and the boys.

Oatmeal Raisin has always been my go-to flavor. But if oatmeal raisin is not for you, you can choose from the protein sugar cookie or a nice classic chocolate chip. Whichever you choose, you will not be disappointed. Each cookie is only 210 calories or fewer and has less than 5g of sugar.

Cookies will always be my favorite dessert, but it’s also nice to mix it up. Naked Nutrition Protein Cookies make the perfect base for other desserts. One of the easiest and tastiest to make is a pie. Crushed cookie pie crusts are so yummy and even better when they have an added protein boost.

It’s super simple to make pie crust from cookie crumbs. The best part, once you have hardened your cookies, there is no baking involved.

Follow these simple steps below:

Naked Nutrition Protein Cookies are chewy, you will need to harden them first. To turn your cookies from chewy to crunchy, throw them in the oven at 300-350℉ and bake for 10-15 minutes. The heat from the oven will remove the moisture.

Once you have your hardened cookies you are ready to start making the most delicious pie crust.

Supplies Needed:

  • Food processor or plastic bag
  • Rolling pin
  • Aluminium Pie Pan (9″)
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 5 Naked Nutrition Protein Cookies
  • 1/2 melted butter or coconut oil (or vegan alternative)

Instructions

  1. Butter your pan and set it aside.
  2. Throw your cookies in the food processor and crush them until they crumble. You can use a rolling pin and plastic bag as well.
  3. Mix cookie crumbles with butter or coconut oil until the mixture looks like wet sand.
  4. Pour into your pan and shape into a crust.
  5. Place crust in the fridge for 15 minutes. You can store the crust in the fridge for 2 days before filling.

I like cherry or blueberry pie with my oatmeal raisin cookies and a key lime pie with the sugar cookie base. I make ice cream pies for the boys with the chocolate chip cookie crust base. You can experiment with different fillings to add to your crusts. You can even make a high-protein vanilla cream pie (great with the oatmeal base) by adding some Naked protein powder to your vanilla pie filling.
