Health Warrior Chia Bars
Let me tell you, being a working mom and having little kids is not always easy. I am constantly running around teaching and hurrying back to be with my amazing boys. Pretty much always tired, and always hustling. I absolutely love my job and of course my children; I wouldn’t give up either for the world. You can do it all if you have help, my nanny is awesome with the boys; and we have a great system. I wish my mom lived in Manhattan, then I could really take on the world!
Inevitably, something has to suffer; and I won’t let it be my kids or my work. In my case, it usually ends up being less sleep and not enough time for eating a full meal. I often make a quick bite once I’ve fed the boys and they are sleeping or playing. I love to have something that is nutritious; but also satisfying. I always tell my clients that it is the quality of calories over quantity. I make sure to eat something nutrient dense at every meal and snack.
On the days when I’m on the go or the boys want to hit the playground, I need a quick healthy grab and go energy source. I recently discovered a delicious brand, Health Warrior, a superfood company that believes better health will build a stronger society. Being healthy starts with the right ingredients. I like to put products in my body that are good for me and support my health. The first ingredient in all of Health Warrior products is a superfood.
Their products combine powerful ingredients in a way that tastes awesome and actually fits into the pace of real life and my crazy hectic schedule.
Health Warrior
Health Warrior was founded in 2010 by three college friends. All of them were former college athletes, they used to approach food as calories to burn during practice. After they finished college, they still approached food the same way; but they ran into issues/reality. They went from being extremely active on the practice field to running to day care pick ups. They eventually learned that what matters is the quality of calories over quantity.
After reading the best-selling book Born to Run, the founders discovered one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet, chia seeds. They all started eating chia every day with their families. They found that chia provided powerful nutrition and inspiration.
Benefits of Chia Seeds?
- Chia seeds are a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, antioxidants, iron, and calcium.
- A 28-gram, or 1-ounce, serving of chia seeds also contains 5.6 grams of protein.
- Mixed with water, they can replace egg in vegan cooking.
- Chia seeds can be eaten cooked or raw, but they should be added to another food or soaked before eating.
Chia Bars:
Bars can be a great fit for a busy and healthy lifestyle. I like to be able to grab something when I’m on the go or short on time, that is satisfying. The bars are made with 100 calories of real, plant based ingredients that fill you up without weighing you down and with only 3g sugar.”
Plus, they’re dairy free, gluten free, soy free, and non-GMO.
My favorite flavor bar is the chocolate peanut butter for sure, but I love them all! The boys enjoy them too and it’s great to disguise something so nutritious (they think they are getting a “candy bar”) for them. I can’t say enough good things about the health warrior chia bars and the company. So have you tried chia seeds yet, and what is your favorite bar?
