Feel Integrated–Guest Post and Give-Away By An Amazing Massage Therapist, Phil Verges!
“Phil is an amazing body worker. I always enter a completely blissed out state every time I have a treatment with him. He is so very kind, intuitive, sensitive and talented. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for deeply therapeutic work. I’ve been seeing Phil for massage for years, but also experienced Jin Shin Jyutsu with him most recently and it was very healing and meditative.” Kristin McGee
Many people still tend to take better care of their cars than themselves – remember to put yourself first! If you want to stay fit and pursue an active lifestyle, regular massage therapy and Jin Shin Jyutsu sessions are an incredibly effective way to prevent injury, relieve pain, keep you in peak condition, improve your quality of life by reducing stress and tension, promote relaxation and emotional well-being. Bodywork also keeps the immune system primed – a great way to keep yourself healthy during the cold and flu season!
That’s why I am passionate about massage therapy and Jin Shin Jyutsu, and because of the powerful results my clients see with just a few treatments.
Most people have a general idea about what massage therapy is like; however, few are familiar with the ancient Japanese energy healing art of Jin Shin Jyutsu. During a Jin Shin Jyutsu treatment, the client stays fully clothed, and the practitioner gently applies both hands to stimulate the client’s innate ability for healing. The flow of energy within the body is optimized and any tension or stagnation melts away. The effect is incredibly relaxing and revitalizing at the same time, and harmonizes the physical as well as the mental/emotional body. Jin Shin Jyutsu is unique in teaching a self-help practice so that clients can keep up their healing momentum between sessions. Self-help affords clients a way to deal with simple issues on their own, and an effective way to implement deeper healing for chronic health issues. At my feel integrated offices, I provide a sanctuary of calm, relaxation, and peace of mind, where you can let go of all doing and return to the pure state of being.
Together, massage therapy and Jin Shin Jyutsu provide the tools for a mutually enriching dual approach, which can be visualized in its simplest terms as “outside-in” and “inside-out.” Some clients prefer one over the other, but the two modalities complement each other beautifully, and I recommend a regimen which allows some of both. Try both and see which speaks to you!
By becoming actively involved in your well-being, you can ensure it will last. Don’t wait until something goes wrong – starting a regular schedule of massage therapy and/or Jin Shin Jyutsu now will pay off many-fold.
