You guys already know FAGE Greek yogurt is one of my favorites. I seriously eat one every morning. I alternate between the FAGE Total Plain Greek yogurt with different mix-ins, when I have time at home. I love walnuts, berries, flax, and cinnamon. The boys love making “sundaes” with plain Greek yogurt, mini chocolate chips, bananas, and honey, or even sprinkles. I also eat FAGE Total Split Cup often when I’m on the go and need a quick, satisfying breakfast. I’ll bring some trail mix and a Split Cup with me to eat before work and I am good to go. FAGE Greek yogurt also blends well into a smoothie or used in overnight oats.

I have often used FAGE Total Plain Greek yogurt as a substitute for sour cream and now I don’t need to anymore! FAGE now makes a sour cream; and let me just tell you, it is delicious!

I have some favorite go-to recipes that use sour cream. I mean, who doesn’t love adding a packet of onion or vegetable soup mix to a container and eating the dip with potato chips?

But if you’re looking for a few other options here are some really good recipes below:

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake 

  • 3/4 cup FAGE Sour Cream
  • 1/4 cup milk of choice
  • 1 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups blueberries
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Sour Cream Cereal Coated Chicken Tenders (the boys love making this with me – it’s a new take on the cornflake chicken nuggets)

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1 cup corn flakes (or cereal of choice)
  • 1 cup FAGE Sour Cream
  • Italian seasoning


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Place corn flakes in an airtight bag and crush.
  3. Mix the sour cream with Italian seasoning.
  4. Coat the chicken tenders in sour cream, then dip in the corn flakes.
  5. Place in an oiled pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

Sour Cream Cookies

  • 6 tablespoons butter softened
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup FAGE Sour Cream
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda


  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup FAGE Sour Cream


    1. Preheat the oven to 375ºF.
    2. Combine the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add in the egg and the sour cream. Add the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda and mix just until combined. The dough will be wet.
    3. Use an ice cream scoop to drop the dough onto greased baking sheets.
    4. Bake the cookies until brown around the edges, 7-9 minutes for smaller cookies, or 9-11 minutes for larger cookies. Let the cookies cool completely on the baking sheet before removing.
    5. Combine the powdered sugar and sour cream and frost the top of the cooled cookies.
