Enlightened–The Good For You Ice Cream
Pregnant and dealing with the summer heat, I constantly crave icy, cool treats–watermelon, ice cream, popsicles, frozen grapes, you name it! I’ve been trying not to eat ice cream or creamy frozen desserts every night; but then I found Enlightened bars. I LOVE these things! They are only 70 calories each with 5 grams of fiber and 8 grams of protein. I can eat 2 (or even 3 hee hee) every night.
Enlightened bars come in 3 mouth watering flavors: fudge, orange cream and coffee. I really can’t decide which one I like best. I haven’t been drinking coffee, so it’s nice to have a coffee creamy treat (there’s no added caffeine just a little natural coffee flavoring from real coffee beans). The orange cream takes me right back to childhood and Creamsicles. The fudge tastes just like a real fudge pop, and none of them have a weird aftertaste.
The scrumptious bars are made with minimal ingredients–skim milk, milk protein isolate, cream and natural monk fruit extract. I personally love one at the end of the day after dinner for a sweet treat; but because of the high protein content, these bars would also make a great post workout snack.
If you want to try out some Enlightened bars, you have the opportunity to WIN a sample of each flavor! Like and Follow Enlightened and let me know once you have (on FB or Twitter or down below) and I will announce a winner at the end of July!!!
