Easy Meal Planning with Snapware!
When I was approached by World Kitchen to host a yoga class in Manhattan for their awesome Snapware line, I was immediately in! I have always loved all of World Kitchen’s lines such as Pyrex and CorningWare. I have fond memories of my grandmother and me using the mixing bowls and cookware for Christmas cookies and baking. My mom has so many of the products I never even realized were part of the World Kitchen.
As a busy mom I was thrilled to learn more about Snapware, and I’m a huge fan of the food storage containers. They are super durable, leak proof, spill proof, air tight and come with freezer packs so you can travel with them. I love to use them for meal prep and for storing Timothy’s snacks and meals that we take on the go to the playground or on our outings. I also often travel with my lunch and healthy snacks when I have long days teaching. I like that the collection offers BPA-free plastic options for easy portability, as well as glass for use in the microwave and/or storage. The lids are interchangeable for both.
Saturday morning I led a super fun, bendy, stretchy, challenging yoga class for a group of nutrition and fitness bloggers on the ground floor of a gorgeous townhouse space on the Upper East side of Manhattan. After class, we went upstairs for breakfast, a buffet bar of granolas, fresh berries and yogurt. We all made parfaits in a cute perfect sized Snapware container and chatted about healthy meal planning and our favorite yummy recipes.
It can be hard to plan ahead and eat well with busy schedules, kids and work. I’ve learned that living a healthy lifestyle consists of many things, including reliable food storage so I can prep meals in advance and feel confident knowing they’ll stay fresh and won’t spill when I take them on the go. Snapware products have helped me organize my life better, I can plan and prep breakfast, lunch and dinner ahead of time for peace of mind. My fruits and veggies stay crisp and fresh; and when I take my lunch on the go, I know it won’t spill in my gym bag.
Here are some ideas for you for easy meals and prep.
OVERNIGHT OATS IN SNAPWARE:
- ½ cup Greek yogurt, any flavor (I like vanilla)
- ¼ cup quinoa, cooked or you can substitute raw oats as well
- ¼ cup fresh berries or bananas
- ½ Tbsp. honey or maple syrup
- Dash of cinnamon optional
Instructions: Combine ingredients in Snapware seal and store in refrigerator until morning or you can also keep for a few days. Experiment with adding cocoa powder, whey protein, mixing up your yogurts flavors etc.
