Defense Against Winter Colds
With the frigid winter months still upon us, it’s important to keep your defenses up. Here is a quick yoga sequence, brought to you by me and Sokenbicha, that you can do to defend yourself against winter colds for a couple more months until Spring arrives.
Using the larger muscles groups in our legs increases circulation and gets lymph flowing. The lung meridian in Chinese medicine has a close relationship with the front exterior of the thigh down to the knee. The lunges in this sequence keep the meridian open across the front of the body from the leg up through the lungs. The backbend in crescent lunge keeps the chest open and the breath full and deep.
