Commitment Day–Be Active New Year’s Day!
I love being active on New Year’s day, it means I’m starting off on the right foot as I enter in to a wonderful new year. I’m also reminded why I love to stay dedicated to living healthy and being fit–it FEELS so good!
Every New Year’s eve, my husband and I have a hard time staying up late. We want to wake up at the crack of dawn and hit the ski slopes. With most everyone else hung over or still in bed, we end up having all of Mt. Baldy (in Sun Valley, Idaho) to ourselves; and we get to make first tracks on the freshly groomed snow.
My family shares a similar tradition of being active on New Year’s day as opposed to staying up late and partying on New Year’s eve. We make sure to still bang pots and pans the night before and we usually end up celebrating NYC time out in Idaho so we can feel like we get the full effect!
