Aveeno’s New Sulfate Free Line
Ooh I am just so lucky sometimes! When I was recently invited to try out Aveeno’s new Pure Renewal Sulfate Free shampoo and conditioner at the Patrick Melville Salon in Rockefeller Center, I wasn’t expecting to get a full blown hair cut, blow out and style from none other than the famous Patrick Melville himself! First of all, I love his salon and his welcoming staff. I was treated to an incredible scalp massage by his assistant while she shampooed my hair with the great smelling Aveeno Pure Renewal shampoo. She then used the Aveeno Pure Renewal conditioner and I was shocked at how silky smooth it left my hair without weighing it down. I have very fine hair, but lots of it.
I sipped on my green tea while Patrick did his magic with his scissors. My hair had gotten so long and I wanted to keep the length yet remove all the damaged ends and marry the asymmetry of the long layers in back. Patrick was incredible. I was so happy with the cut and enjoyed hearing more about the product from him. He has been with Aveeno for the past 4 years and he just loves how safe and gentle; yet effective all of the hair care products are. He is a new grandfather (although you could never imagine he has a grandson!) and he said the Aveeno products and baby shampoos and conditioners are all so wonderful for the little one.
I truly love that a high quality salon uses Aveeno, it really is an amazing product; and yet it doesn’t cost a fortune like some salon shampoos and conditioners. I’ve seen them run as high as $30 to $40 a bottle which just seems crazy to me! Aveeno comes in around $7. I’m totally hooked on it now and so happy to find something sulfate free and made with seaweed extracts and other pure ingredients. I am counting on it to restore my hair and keep it healthy and shiny. I also love the dry shampoo–it’s another way to save my hair from over shampooing and it gives it great texture, not to mention smells really good!

Lovely new look. I’ve been a fan of Aveeno face wash for some years now. I’ll have to branch out into their haircare line. Wishing I lived in NY so I could vist Patricks Salon.
