Savor your food

Take a page out of the Parisian way to dine: eat what you love, but in smaller portions. While this might seem like common sense, many people miss that crucial second part of the concept. Before you know it, you’re on the couch eating an entire pint of ice cream and wondering what happened.

It turns out that your body actually knows what to do with your favorite high fat foods when they are consumed in smaller doses; a study showed that nutrients are processed better when you eat food you actually like. The French really savor their favorite foods and feel satisfied when they don’t deprive themselves. Just remember to keep your portions small and you too can eat whatever you want!

Ginger, coriander, and turmeric are all credited with lowering cholesterol and reducing the risk of heart disease.
