Shake Up Your Workout Routine this Season!
Technically the first day of Summer is June 21st, but for all intents and purposes I think we can all agree SUMMER IS HERE (yay!).
The change of a season is the PERFECT time to change up your workout routine! For Summer, the best way to do this is to take your workout outside! Most of us have spent months cooped up and now that the temperatures are rising and the sun is shining, why waste another minute inside?!?
To take my workout outdoors, I grab a beach towel (as yoga mat) and resistance bands and head to the park. Below is one of my favorite exercise circuits that can be done really anywhere!
Start with the Warmup. Next, perform circuits 1 – 3, 2-3 times through depending on your fitness level. End with the cool down:
Warmup: Sun Salutations
Circuit 1: Resistance band arm workout
Circuit 2: Resistance band leg workout
Circuit 3: Pilates Core Work
Cool Down: Walk around the park!
Another great way to change up your routine would be to incorporate your pet! How many of you knew it was Pet Appreciation Week this week?? If this is news to you, now is the time to give your pet an extra hug and tell him/her how much you love them!

Unfortunately with me and my husband’s busy schedules and living in a NYC apartment, we aren’t able to have a dog; but I grew up with and absolutely love dogs. This is my cutie Pumpkin:
