Runner’s Gear Summer Round-up Guide!
Summer is a great time to get back into your running routine; or for the new runner’s out there, start a running routine! In order to prepare yourself for the running season ahead, I’ve compiled a list of running gear that will help prepare you and motivate you for those hot day runs:
RXBars: RXBars are a great pre- and post-run fuel option. Each bar has only 4 ingredients, all of which are natural foods that you know and can pronounce. For runs over 10miles, pack an RXbar with you to eat as fuel along the way.
MYZONE Sports Bra: This sports bra is not only comfortable and supportive, but it also accommodates a heart rate monitor. A heart rate monitor is a great way stay motivated during your run, or an excellent way to track your progress. The HR Monitor is easy to use and connects to your phone via bluetooth.
Road M2v3: Nothing will get you out the door like a new pair of comfy running shoes! These shoes are nice and lightweight, but still offers a good amount of support. They’re great because they can definitely go the distance for long runs, but due to the lightweight design, they work well for short sprints as well. If you suffer from plantar fasciitis, like many runners do, you can check out this guide for the best shoes for preventing and helping with the ailment.
Fuel Belt’s Helium Sprint Palm Holder: On hot days, hydration is key! I like this water bottle because it fits nicely in my palm and is small enough that it doesn’t get annoying to carry. I just fill it up at water fountains along the way on my run.
Women’s White Running Hat C9 Champion: Don’t leave home without a hat on sunny days! Keeping your head covered will protect your face from harmful UV rays and protecting your head from the sun will also help to keep your body temperature down.
C9 Champion Women’s Elastic Back Tank: This is a great tank for hot summer days because it’s light and it flows to allow the breeze to come in and cool you down.
After your runs make sure to stretch and hydrate. I recommend this runner’s yoga flow to help you cool down and help prevent soreness.
Now what are you waiting for, go run!!! Oh and don’t forget the sunscreen 🙂
