My evening of indulgent treats courtesy of Cafe Escapes and Hostess with the Mostess!
This past Tuesday evening I was invited to “Escape in to a Storybook evening of Bliss & Indulgent treats” with Cafe Escapes and Hostess with the Mostess. The event was held at the swank Eventi hotel and it was truly a mini escape on a cold, winter NYC night.
When we arrived, everyone mingled and got to know each other. Then we all sat down in a beautifully decorated room, with the cutest table decorations courtesy of Hostess with the Mostess. We were all asked to bring a book to donate to Urban Librarians Unite to provide to a library affected by Hurricane Sandy. The theme on the tables were books and eyeglasses and paper flowers made from scrap book pages and coffee filters. I was blown away by the creativity involved.
Soon plate after plate of little delicious bites arrived accompanied with a small espresso sized cup of the most decadent Cafe Escapes perfectly paired to match each taste. I was shocked the delicious warm beverages were all made on a Keurig machine. In a matter of seconds, the Keuring brews a fresh hot cup of anything you wish. Cafe Escapes provided delicious flavors such as Chai Lattes, Cafe Mochas, Cafe Vanilla, Cafe Caramel, Dark and Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa.
As we were finishing up our last bites of Tiramisu and sipping cocoa, Jennifer Sbranti, founder and editor in chief of Hostess with the Mostess, showed us how to make some of the flowers and decor she used to turn an ordinary meeting room in to a cozy, fun escape.
We finished off the evening having cocktails in the adjacent room and getting to know each other better. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend an evening with girls, good sips, amazing treats and tips on how to become a pro party thrower. I can’t wait to get a Keurig of my own and invite girlfriends over on a Sunday afternoon for tea, coffee and homemade biscotti. I’ll look to Jenn’s site for inspiration for all types of celebrations. I’m so excited to get creative and start making my own decorations, invites and party treats for all special occasions this year.
