Lettuce wraps

One of the most popular food ideas that started trending last year was lettuce wraps. They are a great healthy alternative to traditional wraps which can be quite high in calories. You can still fill them with yummy ingredients that will brighten up your lunchtime. And don’t forget to add a low-fat dressing (I love a miso flavored one personally) to make them even tastier. You will feel like you are eating an actual wrap, but you will definitely be cutting down on your calorie and carb count. They are easy to eat, and if you make them at home, you won’t have to do anything to prepare them at the workplace. Here are some ideas for lettuce wraps recipes.

Pasta salad

Another delicious healthy lunch idea you can eat at the workplace is a pasta salad. As this article reveals, you can make the pasta salad with whole-wheat or even a chickpea pasta to make it even more healthy. You could add chicken, cheese, and peppers to make it more flavorful and up the protein. Also toss in some tomatoes and lettuce, romaine hearts are easy to eat and would be ideal in a pasta salad. A pasta salad is a tasty treat which will fuel you for the remainder of the day at work.

Sweet potato soup

You can also make a delicious sweet potato soup if you want a healthy lunch idea you can eat at the workplace. It will be a delicious treat during the winter months; and also yummy served cold in the summertime. Sweet potato is an excellent choice to add to soup as it’s full of vitamin C. It’s named one of the healthiest foods on the planet. You can alter the recipe of your soup depending on what you fancy. One day you could have a chicken and mushroom soup while the next day you could try a minestrone soup. They will only take a couple of minutes to reheat when you are ready to eat them at lunch.

Tuna Bagel

Another healthy lunch idea you can eat at the workplace is a scrumptious tuna bagel. A whole-wheat bagel is a lot healthier than choosing to eat a sandwich. Chop up the bagel and fill it with tuna, salmon, or even prawn to make it a delicious lunch option. Check out these stuffed bagels to give you some ideas for a healthy lunch.

Mushroom fried rice

You could also make some mushroom fried rice if you are looking for a healthy lunch idea to eat at the workplace. Making it yourself ensures it’s created with healthy ingredients. Rice doesn’t take long to make, and you can pack it easily to eat at work. Use brown rice to make it healthier than using traditional white rice; brown rice is full of protein and fiber. You can mix up the veggies as well as add in scrambled egg for more protein. You could also experiment with low carb cauliflower rice.

Hopefully, these lunch ideas will help you to maintain a healthy weight; and give you great energy to maintain a positive attitude at work.
